At Glow, I finally found the help I needed. I reached out with questions about my health. They referred to a healthcare screening and were able to get a free check up and got a free blood pressure machine to use at home. With their care, education, and encouragement, I gained the knowledge and confidence to monitor my pressure and take action early, before it could turn into an emergency.

Through Glow Foundation Alliance, I received the kind of help I honestly never imagined I would find. I don’t have dental insurance and have been living with a severe toothache. My sister referred me to the organization; I reached out to them and explained my situation. I was referred to a health screening event, but I couldn’t go for lack of transportation therefore, the team made transportation arrangements, and I was able to attain the healthcare screening, and get the tooth removed for free. They did more than fix my tooth; their kindness restored my confidence and reminded me that I am not alone.

There was a time in my life when I felt so low that I did not know where to turn. Eventually, I opened up to my friends about how I was feeling, and they reached out to Ms. Salome at Glow Foundation. I did not want any adults to know I was struggling, because I was afraid I would be judged or pushed away. During one of the most difficult seasons of my life battling with my illness “ leukemia” Salome’s support became a source of strength and comfort that I deeply needed.
